How long did it take for you to find the right car? 

I've been looking for nearly a month now and still nothing. Only seen a couple that would interest  me but they seem to be really far, Like Scotland or Past London...

I went on Auto Trader in the morning after yet another drive way date with the diesel.

By 1pm I went to view my GTI.

By 3pm I was driving home.

Haven't regretted it since.

Changed my criteria, but in doing so, ended up with a better car!

I have been casually looking for about 3-4 months and when I finally sold my old car it only took me about a week to find it, viewed it and bought it on the spot.

I'd been keeping an eye out for a few weeks, spotted it on here on a Thursday, paid a deposit without seeing it did the 450 mile round trip to collect it on the Sat.

Looked at 3, first one was scrap, 2nd dsg was beautiful & fully loaded but was 5k over due the dsg 2nd service so went with the 3rd one which was manual with no xenons or leather but full years platinum warranty. Glad I did too. Took me just shy of a month.

I have a lovely 57 plate 1 owner fully loaded 3 door black Gti or a 57 plate black 5 door Gt tdi 140 either are possibly available for sale as wife is after a new car

I lost count me, the first one I went to see was was in March 2012 and was the most dodgy garage I've ever stepped foot in so left that one and it wasn't till July 2013 the next year when I when to view the second one and that's the one I bought. So that's over a year I was looking on autotrader every night for the one, it had to be white 3door was going to travel anywhere to get it but the right one funny enough one popped up in Newcastle not far from where I live which was the first white one I'd seen even remotely close. Then a week later I went to ibiza, was a great month that one  first thing I did was take it out when I got home.
