I will tell you s3 cooler is suffice but a £1 cooler which is a ths copy is even better value for money as tried and tested and mapped by Nikki r tech my black painted ths copy made 360bhp with 380 Torque need I say more!!!!
Well yes you do need to say more as its not about power its about keeping it there for a length of time

I will add that whilst mapping Nikki ran the car up a number of times and no increase in temperatures so the ths copy held great cool temps

If you don't track yours I'm not sure it's worth the outlay. It'll help you hold max power for longer by helping to prevent issues like heat soak etc but It won't give you more power, only prevent you from losing it. Spend the cash on suspension or brakes if you haven't already.

But for info, S3 cooler is fine for stage 2+. I run one at 340hp and have done numerous track days and never suffered power loss or any issues related to it.

Gone but not forgotten :-)

I'm also interested in this topic, along with the question about the main difference between plastic ends and alloy ends. I have a plastic end S3 intercooler (which I got rather cheap) so curious as to why people don't normally go for them...

usually stronger, less likely to blow the side tanks off...doesn't happen often either way.

Fair enough, did assume that plastic on metal never be as strong as full metal, kind of a given. On a K03 engine like mine I can't see the need for a THS or Peron one until I either dedicate the car to the track or go stage 3. Barely even justify a CAI to be honest!

Exactly :)
that being said a CAI is what, £300, good gains of around 10bhp and makes the difference when mapped. And darth vader noise.
Who wouldn't pay £300 for that.

Me... Because I'd pay half that for the RamAir CAI. If someone can prove that a £300 intake gets me dou me the gains of the RamAir then I'll admit I'm a pikie. Otherwise expensive CAI on K03 engines is a bit of a waste in my opinion.
