How easy is it to get a radio code?

I may have sourced a new stereo.....there is no code with it though.

Easy fix?

VW will provide the code, usually FOC but if not, think it costs £10.

Need serial number of the car and VIN

Try ebay, some people offering it as a service. just gave them the serial number of the stereo and they sent the code via email a few hours later.

this ^  I think I paid 9 Euros to someone on a forum and he got me the code in a few hours. Worked on both occasions when I needed it
