14 mm Spline tool - help!

I need to change the rear disks and pads, which means removing the rear calipers.
So ... can anyone please give me a link as to where I can get the required 14mm Spine Tool?
I've searched eBay, Amazon  etc and drawn a blank. I don't really want to lash out on an expensive full set for one tool/one job!

Not done rear discs and pads but here you go...

I used this set to change when changing my front shocks last week, but you might be better off wiith the one above for the brakes

ive never removed the rear calipers. the rear disc is quite thin and can be removed at a slight angle. well on a tdi its possible. not sure about GTI

There isn't much room Rich, between the bolt and the strut iirc.  The dealer tool / socket is shallow and gives that required space

on the 1.9 you can do it  but the gttdi you to remove the carrier for

Don't forget you'll need a caliper wind back tool.
I've changed (or had changed) three sets of rear discs and pads and each time the caliper has been seized (different cars).

Tfsi Mike - that looks the one. The longer ones don't give the required clearance - so I understand......do they?
Got the wind back tool.
Now just hope that the bolts are not too tight/seized!

Paid around £4 for mine off ebay and did the job just fine
It is tight in there with the strut etc but certainly doable without any special tools!

Bolts on mine were very tight and one caliper was seized  :sick: turned into a nightmare job to be honest as then had to order a new genuine caliper in red off ebay and bleed system etc

Make sure you apply a dab of loctite to those spline bolts when refitting as last thing you want is those coming loose

Yes, many thanks. Have just got link to open.....
Lots of answers and lots of choice! :happy2:

Hopefully a 24" breaker bar should be long enough - if not I'll have to get my 6ft bar, used for shifting VW Beetle rear hub nuts!
