Well, a map tweak to reduce the boost a bit on the slipping RPM won't hurt that much your available engine power on track, I think. It shouldn't slip on high RPM where you'll drive it more. Don't you agree?

That would be also something to look for. But until then, we found out that my dsg clutches pressure is only 11.2 bar maximum. That is pretty low.

Ah, yes. The new DSG tune should increase that.

I’m back in the game, the new remap did the trick.
It was a painful week, we couldn’t write the new map, the K-line wire was not connected since the conversion. At first we tought there is a protection or a software missmatch somewhere because we only got “unknown ecu hardware” error. Thankfully, after trying with different tools sent urgently from Greece, one clever guy checked the wiring and discovered the missing connection.
Now I see 14-15bar constantly, even saw 17+ one time in the logs. The shifts are more aggressive, and I can feel this. Don’t know if it is normal.
Now I wonder if I should do a DSG recalibration.

I needed to do a DSG reset after the new engine and DSG remaps.

I’ve talked with the guys, they did the recalibration already. They’ve also told me that this is the way it should feel, there’s nothing wrong.
Another good thing, I feel that the DSG is not overheating anymore. Maybe there was a slight slip that was generating heat. I’ll know for sure tomorrow.

If it was slipping it would get hot much faster. Hope it's all sorted now. Enjoy your track time! We'll wait for your final feedback.

The DSG was perfect this time and I got my first win with a new personal and FWD track record 1:51.537.

This time I had some understeer, whenever I tried to go faster, the laptime was worse. Might be the near end-of-life front slicks, the fact that I lowered the back by 1.5cm or the wider rear slicks. Anyway, this was the fastest lap of the day:

In the final session the 997 Turbo S came really close, 0.1 between us, but I got it. ;)

I'll post more pictures when I'll get them, but first one made with the phone with the racing wheels on:

While still waiting for some pictures from Race 2 on Motorpark Romania, I've completed Race 3 on Hungaroring.
A very good result - 2:05.412 with an enormous mistake, braking on the curb, but enough for 2 podiums - 3rd in Magyar Time Attack and 1st in Romanian Time Attack Challenge:

And one training lap with the wife, loosing left paddle-shifter  :signLOL:
