Some little F**KERS broke into my car...

Couldnt steal the DVD Sat Nav Stereo so smashed the screen instead  :sad1:

F900BT in there...

Now I need to get it all sorted, and decide if I need to claim or not :(

They even smashed the climate control displays up!

I advise you claim mate as i know how it feels.



Not including the headunit it was over 1000 pounds worth of damage. I went through insurance as it was just to much to pay out myself!

Hope you get it sorted  :happy2:

When i get around to fitting my other climate control with comfort heater, i have a spre with heated seats buttons

Sorry to hear about this mate. I hope it doesn't cost you too much to sort out.

2 weeks ago someone stole my fiance's stereo out of her mk4, except they damaged absoluelty... nothing! They carefully removed all the trim, the stereo and cage then sorted through her cd's deciding which ones to steal and which ones to leave  :confused:
Makes me realise how lucky we were. It only cost me £80 for a new head unit.

I really hate theiving scum, but I hate malicious little f**kers even more. If they can't get something these days, they just smash it up. Makes me wonder whether car security is worth the hassle  :sad1:

Did,nt you hear any alarms???.

My first GTI (MK4) got the same treatment.. Big gang steamed the whole street at once.8 cars at the same time.I never heard a thing. :scared:

They only took my snowboarding coat so was,nt as bad as yours.

Didnt hear anything at all!!!

What I will say is that they didnt know what they were doing and came only for the DVD Unit, which like I said they didnt know how to take so Smashed the display up! I had loads of kit in the car, NOW REMOVED! but they didnt even open the glove box...

Sorry to hear that. Its a horrible thing to come back to and discover. Scum, sub-human scum.

Can a replacement screen be purchased through Pioneer?

Im sure its the same on the mainland, but in NI insurance companies really have you by the balls. If you've got protected NCB and make a claim, the premium still goes up regardless. Its not really worth the extra of protecting them.

how did they gain access? when my RNS510 gets installed my F900BT will be up for grabs if you want a replacement?

I take it you had an upgraded Head unit in that Civic, beacuse the standard stero's are about the worst i ever had so i guess they didnt steal that?
