Hiya, it's the 1.9D L with PAS, ABS and Electronic Open Air Sunroof (needs new switch which I have on order), Sailed MOT with no advisories.  Tester remarked what good condition it was in for year.  TBH, I'm amazed at the fuel consumption on these, probably save me some serious cash over a year compared with the tuned GTI.

Open Air fixed  It was just the switch, popped out the old one, new one in, worked straight away (love easy fixes).

Thought I'd take the old switch apart to see what's what... turns out one of the internal contacts had shifted slightly, fixed that, so have a spare for the new owner. :pomppomp:

Going to get the tracking done this week, as there's too much Pos Camber for my liking, then it's 100%. :happy2:   Might even get a Bluetooth single din for the dash if I can find a decent one on eBay... lol, can't help but mod.

Someone buy it please, before I have wild ideas of fitting a 2.0T engine in it, vampir anyone?

Sorry to see ALL your number plates have been nicked @Scottymon  :P

What a great tribute to a VW car to sit there for that long and only need power and fuel to get straight back to it...

Must've had a lot of interest, I know when I was 17-18 I was dying for a Polo of some sort?! :innocent:

Haha @rdfcpete , yeah, always like to do that when posting pics online (makes the cars look a bit tider too)

New (young) owner was really made up with it, brought his step dad (mechanic) with him, and thought it was an excellent motor, which it was/is.
I had the Wheel alignment done today too with free 1000 mile check up.

I'm convinced it will last a loooong while yet with some regular maintenance. :happy2:

Same mate, same. Wise to do so.

I bet it'll do another ten years if it's looked after and serviced regularly.
The only crazy thing with the older cars is that you can buy 3.0TDI Audi's that are half the price of a 1.2 Polo from back then to tax  Lord bless the EU...  :signLOL:
