http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,96479.0.html - didn't even need to use the search bar! :happy2:

Its a slightly trickier situation in your case but personally I'd target enthusiasts and tuners so may be quicker and break even financially to sell as it is.

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!

Try selling it as is targeting enthusiasts as no point putting the effort taking it back to standard if you can get good money as it is.

Back to standard 100% , very few people want modified cars as they would want to do it themselves , takes away all the fun of car modding if you buy it already done ... You will benefit financially too by selling the bits on here , seen it happen many times  :innocent:

Depends on mod's, how the car looks, reciepts for work and even the person selling.

I personally always like to buy a standard car but I don't mind tasteful mod's or something that you can tell is enthusiast owned by what's been done... That said if the cars been modified and you turn up and the guy selling it is on a rough estate with a big spliff hanging out of his mouth then everyone would no it's been hammered lol

Couldn't think of another way of putting it but you get what I mean

Best way financially will be breaking 99% of the time. But its a ballache, so maybe work pit how much youd make breaking the car and then advertise it in the right places for about that money and see what happens. If you get no interest then bite the bullet an break her.

It depends on how you are planning to sell.

I took my Milltek Cat-back, Neuspeed intake, Forge DV off as it made no difference to the PX price. I even kept the Pirelli logo'd mats that my wife got me. Already sold the exhaust. Left the WALK on as it wasn't worth the hassle.

If you have time and patience, then sell it complete - you will get more for it (from the right person - eventually). I didn't want test pilots to be wasting my time because they just wanted a shot of a Revo Stage1 Pirelli.

Personally I will be going back to standard as will probably use the car as trade in against a newer one when the time comes.

Plus you'll do fine on here selling parts with all the vultures circling the forum and waiting a 'back to standard' thread to appear.
