Fitting BCS catback

Has anyone fitted a BCS catback to a standard downpipe?

I think nige said the downpipe needs cut slightly. Was just thinking will it be possible to put oem catback system back on if selling up and returning to standard having cut it or is it better to just buy a second hand downpipe.
