Maybe you are missing the good old manual gear box?  Same happened to me with my previous DSG A3.

This happened to me a few weeks ago as well. I was driving a Seat Leon rental around which was a manual.

But then when I got back in the DSG ED30 I did come back round to liking the DSG. Just easier around town.

I think they are fantastic. You'll always get the diesel-haters but for the performance against cost (to run) it's hard to go wrong. You've got to love the torque too. I think I'd rather have a DSG TDI though, suits the narrower power band better.
Only 250.1bhp - but with that noise, who cares?

I like the GTD's as well and it will be on my list to test drive in about 12 months when I change my car as I need a diesel in my life now.

My car was in for a service yesterday and they gave me a brand new Mk 6 ABT TDI and I was mightily impressed with that apart from the gash body kit :stupid:  The actual car was luuuuuuuuurvely to drive and went really well.  I must say it's the best courtesy car I've ever had and is better than the 1.2 Polo they were going to give me!

FOR SALE!

Still not warning to the MK6 styling...  Phil Mcavity what's a DSG service - and when is it done?
