That was up for sale for ages, I saw the bloke was selling that like 6months ago or maybe more. Would love a V10 even though they're not as tuneable.

My friend took his RS6 to MRC on the 11th June, went on the rollers for a preliminary standard power run and it showed an error in the cooling system on the car, MRC weren’t keen on continuing working with the car as it had a 'fault'. They said it could be something as trivial as a poor batch of VPower but told him to go away and come back.

Car went back to Audi Carlisle and straight on the diagnostics, it showed nothing, so whatever the problem was at MRC had cleared itself by the time he got home.

Car went back to MRC on Friday last week and made a very comfortable 681 hp and 1040nm.

The guys at MRC said they could have got the magic 700hp but didn't want to push it too hard for no reason, they also mentioned that the fact it was 27°C didn't help, could have done with being a little cooler.

Apparently his drive home was epic  :evilgrin: :evilgrin:

More and more modified GTR's are cropping up on the forums with fubar'ed gearboxes especially on pre 2011 cars so be aware.

Thanks Andy. I was looking at a LM700 R35 atm from Evo, but not too sure on the engine and it's history even though it's been maintained very very well. And like you say gearbox. It has everything tho!!

Anyway, so I went out in a RS6 last and wasn't impressed with handling. It is an estate care and that's to be expected but it disappointed me  :sad1:
But having been out in mates GTR......think i'm turning more GTR!

Gearbox issues are not as bad as what it's made out to be, the circlip issue is not as much of an issue now and if it's going to happen usually be early days.. The magnets can get dirty and you can lose various gears but it's not as scary as it sounds

Plus litchfield will warranty any level of tune done by them.. From the engine, gearbox down to the mfd display

i'm looking at facelift versions and not overly concerned about the gearbox. More tempted to get the one I have been looking at but gunna hold out to see what else is out there. Mate's had no issues so far and pretty much uses it daily.
