DZ02G's now superceeded by 03Gs. Also add:

Kumho V70As & Yoko AO48-R

R888s and Yokos as far as I've seen and heard aren't that well suited to heavy cars, they have epic grip but treated wrongly can overheat and therefor induce rapid wear rates.

The M3 CSL boys love the Kumhos, great value for money and grip/wear well.
PSCups I have and cannot fault, they come up and stay static from that point onwards. Expensive though.
Hankooks as used by VWRacing, so you'd imagine they suit the car well... If only VWR would start using their ties and flogging them to us cheap!!
Sideways yo!

They're on slicks and wets, so not ideal for us - but more importantly they have a 'deal' with Hankook to supply every car on the grid.

It would take nothing more than a cheeky wink to see them supplying their track day tyres through VWR as a bit of an extention of that deal.
Sideways yo!

they had the hankook rs2 on camskill a few months ago 225/40/18  XL for £85 a corner !!

was going to order some but they advised they are on backorder and would be a few months before delivery

they are road legal track day tyres and a  harder compound than the r888 so should last longer
GTI Edition 30 - Reflex Silver now gone but not forgotten - Cooper S JCW now.

Ahh - now, I forgot to add - being able to fully rotate track tyres is a big consideration, as you'll batter the nearside much more than the offside.

Had some of these fitted today to my TD's today  :innocent:

    DZ03Gs

I was after the previous version the DZ02G but was unable to get them, so i had to pay a bit more for latest incarnation.

All i can say is wow!  and i have hardly tested them yet.   :jumpmove:  Cant get the car to spin up in third at all, just grip grip grip. Can get a bit of spin if i drop it in second above 5000 revs.
Tried a couple of launches and it only spun up top end of first, no spin at 2800rev launch
But the biggest benefit by far was on the exiting bends, no spin at all and could get the power down miles further back in the turn.  :driver:

Cant wait to test them properly, but initial testing shows masses more grip than normal road tyres. Obviously this was going to happen, as thats what there for, but i was taken aback by the extra traction gained.
