Shadow Blue TDi
« on: June 09, 2015, 11:39:22 pm »
Hello all

Been following this forum for a bit and I decided to finally start posting. Owned a 1.4 6n2 Polo petrol for a few weeks before it got seized (no insurance). Then I decided to go for a 1.4 TDi but then a mate crashed it whilst we were on the motorway (aquaplaned). After going through the he insurance claims I purchased a Golf as I wanted to try something with some more power (that was still affordable). I purchased a 2005 1.9 BKC just before going back to uni and heres a list of some of the things I've done and that I plan to do with her. This will be the first car i've modified so I will need a lot of your expertise  :happy2: :happy2:

Looks good so far, only thing I would say from that list of mods is a Revo intake on a TDI is more likely to harm performance than help it.
If you want to got to stage 2 remap then you'd be better off getting a better "enclosed" intake like the VWR TDI one, as standard cone filters can cause the engine to suck in warmer air.  Or at least thats what I have found through my research when looking at modding my Scirocco.

Thanks for the input, I'm gonna change up my list now
