Bye bye golf!
« on: June 13, 2015, 05:31:31 pm »
Well after 3 years of owning my golf I finally gave up with repairing it and traded her in.

In the end after spending a small fortune in it getting it to run right. Then the turbo starting to fail along with rear brake calipers and wheel bearings starting to go I had enough. The car went from this

To this

Now I went and got this. It's a Volvo S40 R design 2.0d. Full leather and feels a lot better to drive than the golf did. Not as quick but nice and smooth!

Only real plans are to lower it slightly, rear window tints, a k&n panel filter and maybe a remap in the future.

Still be browsing through here for a while, have a load of bits and pieces to sort through off the old golf that may be of use to people on here.
How hard can it be?

I know, I was struggling to find something of the same spec. In the end I just gave up and went for something that I liked the look of. It was a toss up between this and a Nissan Navara but after sitting and driving the Navara I hated it.  :signLOL:
