Do we think he will have co-presenters?
I think TG is done for, but this isn't much of a surprise - wonder what stupid salary the BBC are paying him...

It depends if they freshen up the way Top Gear does things. I kind of hope the stupid challenges get shown the door, they weren't funny after a million times of seeing the same things.

Steve Coogan and JK as co-presenters, now that I'd like to see...

TG needed a refresh as the shows were very predictable and similar . I think Chris Evans will bring that to it , who his co presenters will be interesting but likely to be other BBC people ..... Motorbikes in the show would be good and getting rid of "Star in reasonably priced car" would be a good move as that had run its course too . .. How to get guests involved in the show ? Bring their own cars ? Looking forward to the NEW show

I don't think Chris Evans is a bad choice. But whether the new show clicks just remains to be seen.

Let's be honest, things were getting a bit tired, and for me and I'm sure lots more the show became a little less enjoable with each episode. Even though we did keep watching.

I think it'll be a tough formula to get right. One badly chosen co-presenter could ruin it for everyone. I'm thinking of the much tipped Guy Martin here. He does my head in.

But, if anything the silver lining with potential to eclipse the cloud is that Clarkson, Hammond and May are free to produce some new stuff, whether individually or again as a team. That is bound to happen.

So then we get the prospect of a potentially entertaining show about cars with Chris Evans on top.

It's not all bad.
