So today i changed my cam follower, wasnt too bad...

orderd a cat back system should be on by tuesday, then will get a downpipe when and if i decide to go for a remap.

since getting the car ive added the GTI seat inserts, DSG flappy paddle extentions, Bright license plate lights, and the matt chrome headlight and wing mirrior switch. Also got an aux cable/ converter thing on the way.

Gave the car a clean yesterday and its coverd in sap from the trees today so still yet to get any good pics.

Getting the car in for a DSG service soon and need some new tyres as the ones on atm are like plastic skates!

I don't suppose you know how many miles that cam follower had done? Looks barely worn in.

I don't know how many miles. The car had no history of it ever being done so I did it anyway so I knew it had been done. The cam had no wear either and the pump was fine so no evidence of it ever wearing through before.

I would imagine someone had changed it before sometime in its life.

Scorpion catback fitted today, they sent the resonated version by mistake so are sending the non res section for free so I can change them to what I prefer... I was disappointed at first but I'm really surprised how loud the resonated version is!!

Now I dunno weather the non res will be too loud!?!?

Anyway the exhaust itself is great, tips fit the back perfectly IMHO and all the wields looked great. Im no metal worker but it looked really well built.

Customer service was awesome as they price matched and sent it out with next day delivery so I could get it fitted while having my bushes sorted. Only down point was that it was the res version. But like I say I'm so surprised its this loud anyway and I'm getting the non res part sent out.

Anyway will get some pics up of it.

Not too much gone on lately. I have it booked in on monday for timing belt and waterpump at vw after the tensioner has started making the chirping sound on first start up in the mornings. Its still under warentee so not too bad.

Oh and i fitted R32/ED30 rear lights

Not the best picture or angle but makes such a difference to the rear IMO

Been busy lately, got the off side rear wheel bearing changed under warrantee yesterday and sounds alot nicer inside now I don't have that horrible rumble.

And today I sprayed my tired old grey grills in a nice satin/matt black and I think I looks alot nicer now

Pics aren't the best but I think it shows the difference...
