Car started to shake/judder
« on: July 05, 2015, 03:39:57 pm »
On my way to work last night my car suddenly started to like shake/judder. I pulled over and had a look around the wheels and engine and everything looked ok. So I carried on down the motorway with this shaking/juddering, then after about 10mile it stopped and went back to normal...
Anyone experienced something similar or have any idea of what could cause this to happen?
I would have preffered it if it didnt stop shaking/juddereing at least it would be easier to diagnose

Thanks
Steve

Driving conditions were fine, nice dry warm day.
It seemed to be the same no matter what speed i was going. Even when i pulled over then started moving again it felt the same as when sitting at 70.

Think i've found what the problem is. After about 15 min of driving tonight i could smell like a burning smell so pulled over to have a look around the car.
Got round to the passenger side and heat from the front brake was unreal compared to the others. I put a light on it and could clearly see the pad was stuck to the disc and melting off the heat.
Luckily i just bought a S3 front brake setup off here  so hopefully this is what the juddering was off.
