Carbon dipped parts.
« on: July 08, 2015, 02:50:46 pm »
So decided to send my dash off to wickedcoatings to get carbon dipped.

I picked this pattern
They rang me up once i sent in the part saying they were out of stock. So i said go for one very similar to what i picked then.

What i got was this i thought at least the colour would be the same as i picked. Also the parts don't even match up and the pattern is allover the place in the middle. Am being fussy?  Personally i think it looks sh*t.

or should i complain? It cost £110

I complained and they have offerd a full refund or for them to do it again.

Still disappointed waiting 4 weeks will need to wait another 4 weeks or so.

Finally got what i wanted.

Nothing ever goes to plan though. The climate control module needed changed aswell cause it was all marked. So fitted that at the same time and for some reason its acting up. When i put it to come out middle airvents it doesn't work unless i turn the temp to high or on auto.

So that will need to be changed again. And am not happy with the sat nav just makes it look old. Been toying with getting the dab as i think the sat nav on mine is rubbish anyway.

At least the carbon effect dash looks good. Well in my opinion.

How did you get it done in the end? Let the first firm re do it or send it somewhere else?

Its just a way of life.

Sent it back to the same firm. They said they were horrified i had even been sent the first one, so thought i would give them one more chance.

looks alot better in the flesh. Wish i went with the mk6 aircon module bit.

Seeing your pics makes me really really hate my dash

So is £100 about the going rate to get the centre section carbon dipped?
