Clutch and flywheel
« on: July 11, 2015, 06:37:26 pm »
Evening lads...

I was hopeing to have my old block out of the car today and the other engine in.

I was originally going to buy a clutch kit to put in but as I'm trying to keep the costs down I thought I'd wait until apart and see what condition it's in... Anyway it's nakered and so is the flywheel.

I'm after a clutch and flywheel kit as cheap as possible and that's still up to the job.

Has anyone done a single mass conversion? I've seen one on eBay that techniclutch or whatever there called sell.

I no people say stay away from them but we fitted one of there kits to my pals mondeo St tdci years ago and it's still going strong now and it's far from standard (probably the quickest one in the country)

Has anyone actually bought one for the golf?

They also sell a Sachs clutch kit and flywheel

Seems to be really cheap?? I've read posts where people have payed £500 & more for the same kit so how can they sell it at that price?

I'm not after stupid power so I don't need anything industrial yet.
