Good that gateway beens updated means it defo compatible with ops,  if everything was fine before yesterday then it should be again,  just go over everything you've done double checking it all
Loads of extra's and retro fits.

Plus not to criticise but your solder joint has a massive sharp point on it have you insulated it properly and the other wire you have bared the copper of,  you don't want these touching the car body or anything else by mistake
Loads of extra's and retro fits.

Everything working perfectly before yesterday!

Looking at another picture from yesterday, I THINK I may have taken the wrong pin from the Gateway for CAN low.

I think I may have used Pin 5 and not Pin 6.

Look at the purple dots on - they look very similar to the dots in my "before" picture....

Compared to:

Hopefully this is the issue.

Hope so too - damage is my main concern now. At the end of the day, it's just a car and it still drives :)

At least you took the photos - like I said cut a bit of the harness insulation back from near the can gateway plug and you'll see what should of been the twisted pair and they have to match the colour code SI quoted in his previous post. Also you should keep in mind there ment to be a twisted pair of wires - not doing this you leave yourself open to errors in communication - a couple of inches untwisted is ok but longer isn't recommended.

Will find out exactly which wires today.

Thanks for reminding me about the twisted requirement, will keep this in mind when doing this later.

Gateway is okay, but soldering and the mess.. sorry, firstly cut all these wires you have soldered. Can you explain your picture? Can low and can high car? what does it mean? I can see only 1 pair, can high/low soldered to gateway on my schematics. It's easier to count the pins, not colour  :drinking:

Not everyone can do the perfect job,  plus if your relying on someone else your just hoping there able to make a good attempt,  the solder joint whist not being the best in the world will do as long as it's insulated well.

You've got to remember not everyone is a retrofitter and has fantastic diy skills,  so it might have to do for now.

If you could confirm that would be great, I'll see what mine is too.

Soldering and mess: sure, I agree with you; it doesn't look like a great job.

Would like it to be redone by a more trained professional.

Sorted. I had used the wrong pin as I suspected. Put the incorrect pin back into its slot and used pin 6 instead like I should have originally. Stupid move on my part not to triple check.

Everything is now working as before thankfully and I got the sensors coded with on-screen guide!

Thanks to ALL in this thread!

Not everyone can do the perfect job,  plus if your relying on someone else your just hoping there able to make a good attempt,  the solder joint whist not being the best in the world will do as long as it's insulated well.

Like I said, I'm not too pleased with the soldering job, but it will do for now as the system is working well.
He puts some insulating tape around each open circuit - he seemed happy enough.

I'm just stoked to have OPS working :)
