Hi all,
Been getting a grinding type noise and the symptoms seem almost identical to this thread I found;
https://mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=91552.0Mine is only making the sound after the car is fully warmed up and been driven for a while. Around town etc there is no noise. Also the noise sounds as if it's coming from the rear of the car. Is there anything else to rule out or is the gearbox on its way out? I also have a bit of a clunking noise from the rear which I don't know if it's related or not. Ive had the suspension checked and all is ok. Any ideas?
