two and a half hours yesterday cleaning the life out of the inside and 2 hours today cleaning the outside
tis lovely now but man no more
aint gonna wax it this time as done a few weeks ago and the roads are just crap with so much rain just now
used a chamie for the first time today to dry the outside,,, man what a faff,,, going back to normal drying method next time of taking the car for a fast 10 minute drive once it is washed and air dry it lol,,,, i tell you it works,,,, just a dry towel after words to wipe out the water marks, takes 5 minutes,,, plus after you are finished washing the monzas its a nightmare trying to dry them before sealent as the water gets hidden in the wheel nuts etc,, fast drive and bone dry then a wipe before wax etc,,,,,, bl**dy chamis pfff
looks nice and shiny now lol

Driving to dry does work Scott, but you should be aware that once you take it on the road it will be getting dirt/grit particles on it. Then when you give it a wipe over afterwards you are rubbing that around the paintwork and scratching it. Just a warning. I microfibre towel dry mine straight after washing, it's quick and works perfectly.

Went to the dealer to have my boot badge rust looked at. Interestingly they said they have not seen that before! Just have to wait for the verdict now.

Drove the golf to play a round of golf. 4 pars on the front nine, went to pieces on the back nine. Last game until the clocks go forward.

I have had the warm start issue (2.0 TDI) since i bought the golf so decided to replace the starter motor, air box and first bolt off, jacked the car up to get to the second bolt only for it to snap on the on the first turn. Had to take it to a local garage to extract the bolt

New Starter now fitted and no warm start hesitation :)
