Brake fluid change and headlight adjustment, also ordered spark plugs and air filter.

I did check awsome GTI for spark plugs but as i live at the ass end of the country (scottish highlands) i will not pay £8.99 for postage, so Eurocarparts it is :)
05 GTI 5 Door, sunroof, met paint, 18" monza, Leather Anthacite, front centre armrest, xenon headlights, Lux pack 2, Sensors, Winter Pack.

Nothing. Pretty sad to say but I'm missing it...
It's currently at APS for a major service, cambelt, waterpump, air-con service, MOT, and alignment.
Look forward to getting it back on Monday!

Major service, cam belt and water pump change.

Running sweet as a nut
How much did that set you back? My car needs the same :s

The dealer originally quoted me £319 for the major service and £449 for cambelt and pump - I said that was too much so they reduced to £299 service and £429 - they wouldn't budge any further

SO went to my independent, service £152, cambelt & water pump £284  = happy days

Must be at a premium down here in the far West. Dealer is £449 for cambelt and water pump. Two indies I use, one was £406 for cambelt and water pump and £65 for thermostat, the other is £426 for cambelt, water pump and thermostat. Not a lot in it really.

I just paid £270 for a cambelt and waterpump change (on a tdi so not sure if they are cheaper) but that was with genuine vag belt kit and pump.

Got my remap done yesterday and appear to have a significant boost leak somewhere, stock power on the dyno was down at 170bhp, after the remap I'm just about back to stock and although it feels quick, it's obviously not where it should be.

I do have whistling noise when accelerating. Do you think it'd be worth looking at the DV first or does that drop in power show a bigger issue?

Fitted my pipercross filter, new battery and number plate surrounds yesterday too!

Dv would be where I would start, but besides that, there is a pipe from the turbo to the intercooler on the drivers side, and then one coming off the cooler on the other side which then turns and goes into a plastic pipe which runs up the front of the engine and back to a short rubber pipe. They're the places to look for boost leaks.

Hope this helps

As a semi viable cheaper alternative if you only want to read fault codes - get Carista if you have an android phone and a £6-10 bluetooth adapter.

So, I treated the ASBO to a trackday last weekend at my very local track......Blyton Park. The new additions of the TTE420/WMI and supporting mods complimented perfectly by the custom linear track orientated map by R Tech ensured that the power delivery was perfect and predictable all day long.
The new handling mods and extremely aggressive GeoSetup by Alex @ AKS meant that I was pushing even the most track orientated open wheeled cars through the corners! Once out onto the straights the TTE420 could be unleashed and I was blasting past cars that @ 2+ would've been out of my reach!

It was great that a few guys from the Forum could join me..... @monte joined me on track in his gorgeous Eddy which was excellent to see stretching its legs. @Tfsi_Mike & @Neilgti joined us both for passenger rides in the morning which was a great laugh too!

I did get a bit of a wrist slap after my first session for exceeding the track noise limits of 95dB......the Javelin boys were good as gold though and just asked me to "go easy" past the noise monitor!

4WD Leon Cupra TTE420 K1, maybe slightly modded.

Well today I went down & Booked my car into the body shop a week on Monday. while I was away on holiday for two weeks the workmen next door decided to drop something from a ladder on my bonnet, so the car has now been booked in for a paint job, repair and paint bonnet & paint front bumper, front wings, wing mirrors at the cost of the contractor  :happy2:

Also considering getting the front bumper washer blank bits smoothed and painted over.
