On eBay for £19 delivered.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Orig-VW-Golf-6-VI-GTI-GTD-R-Line-LED-Number-plate-lighting-1K8943021C-Set-NEW-/252273557984?hash=item3abcad01e0:g:FSUAAOSw5VFWPoS4

How do these plug in? As I have some normal smd bulbs and they just slot in when you take the clear plastic cover off. I see these have a plug connector? Confused.

This is a full replacement. The housing comes out with a flathead screwdriver to one side. The new housing slots straight in.

Changed yet another set of number plates led's  the third set.

Do you keep getting the canbus error? I gave up with led bulbs in the end and opted for the complete replacement led offerings. Much better and error free.
Hi yes they are error free but not fault free by the looks of it.  I might have to take that route but they're just way too bright. :stupid:

Can't fault the OEM LED's.

I got them very cheap: 12 € the 1st time for the GT Sport and 10 € the 2nd time for the Ed. 30. The last time I checked you could order them for 25-30 € with shipping included from ebay or online stores.
Are they stupidly bright Shoduchi?.

No, according to the reviews. Haven't got them myself. If I got them, I'd have to do the puddle lights and side lights. Too much work  :signLOL:

If you feel like any smd or led lights are too bright you can either add a bit of tint film on them or do what I did and put a small square of vinyl over the centre and helps a lot  :happy2:

I was thinking a bit of tint film. Thanks mate I'll have to get a pair as these cheap ass ebay ones aren't any good for this car. lasted well over two years in my previous car.

Also with the smd bulbs you can change the angle a bit which affects the brightness

These type.
I thought as much. these are the feckers that keep in flickering and failing but good for adjusting and keeping the light at bay.

I'll have to purchase as set of the others linked earlier as I'm fed up of those cheap ones now.  :sad1:
I'll just tint them to dim them down.  :happy2:

not today but  the other day.

Engine was hunting at idle suddenly last week. Got it to my Indy, diagnosed with a knackered PCV valve. Changed PCV and the car is happy and pulling like a train again.
Leading up to this, the car just didnt feel "right". It felt down a little on power and not as responsive.
Once the PCV was changed, it "feels" right again!

Repair was claimed under AA breakdown warranty.
