Swapped out interior bulb and number plate bulbs for LED's.  That drivers side footwell light is a pig to get out.  Just can't seem to get my pry tool into it at all to start popping it since the surrounding plastic has so much movement.  Any ideas?  Also, the glovebox LED wouldn't sit properly in the holder, so just used the drivers footwell LED just now, lol.

Also fitted wind deflectors.  So I can finally wash my windscreen with the windows open.  Result.

I saw this thing at our local C&C one morning before he left and set out to go to Woodburn Dragstrip to pull a 7.3s @ 213mph 1/4mi. setting a GTR 1/4 mile record.  Then at Shift S3ctor sets a standing 1/2mi record for a GTR...he held the 1/2mi record briefly until Gidi broke it in the Lambo with a 247mph run. I found myself hoping to see just one VW all weekend but naught...

Had all of the following replaced:

-Timing Chain
-Chain tensioner
-PCV Valve
-DV(to rev G)
-Cam follower

Cam follower had minimal wear, old rev C DV was actually fine and PCV seemed okay still too. Car has never had these done and is on 28k miles. At least I know have piece of mind and many miles ahead of me before having to worry about these again! Also now have some spares in case of a sudden failure.

Cam chain and tensioner was worth doing - lost the annoying diesel rattle when warm which was audible in the cabin.

Chuffed!

@Skilgannon - fair play for having a go!! Just check for any leaks. No leak. No problem :happy2: Your cam follower looks very poor indeed. I'd say you've saved yourself a Massive headache there :happy2:

@unzippy - sad times bro :sad1: On a positive note £90 for that particular tire is a great price!! Much damage to your alloy?

@r5gtt - can't wait to upgrade my pump now!!

@ROH ECHT - amazing 1/4 mile time for the GTR  Your car was looking very smart at the show

@xs2man - would love to be able to wash my windscreen without drowning my door card and all my window switches :rolleye:

@f00glee - I would dearly love to do my cam chain! Just can't decide whether to go DIY or hand it over to a specialist (I'm thinking specialist at the minute :ashamed:)

It was from blackcircles, fitted.
Small chunk out the alloy but it's still round and holds air, will need refurbishing but no rush.

Fitted :surprised: Holyshiznolly that's an amazing price! Pleased to hear your wheel is not a write off :happy2:

Fitted a parrot hands free kit today!  Chuffed to get it done as it wasn't so straightforward.  Wired the power from the fuse box from a ignition switched source using a repair wire..

So did you add the new fuse or join the existing one?

For any GTR or the ETS one here in Vanc./PDX?  At the finish line...you certainly can tell the diff between a fast car and a quick one. 240+mph is much more noticeable than 160 to 200mph. The latter seem to just be out for a country drive @ 1/2 mile :happy2:
