What a massive PITA and not the first time it has happened.

The Golf is booked in for the dreaded MOT tomorrow so this morning on the way into work the passenger side mirror indicator decided to throw a 7 and stopped working 

Managed to get a replacement which i picked up this evening and set about breaking down the door mirror which took minutes UNTIL i tried to disconnect the plug from the indicator unit. It took nearly and hour to cut the plug free with a dremel!!

Golf passed the dreaded MOT with only the standard advisories - slightly worn console bushes and marginally lipped break discs i'm pretty happy :)

New Mintex discs and pads all round. New Conti CS5s all round a couple of weeks ago as well

My bog standard GTI can get 160mph on the autobahn, so I dare say you could get a little extra from yours

Yeah, that does happen! You need a good clear road at those speeds, just too risky other wise.

I have VCDS, but I'm useless with it. How is it done exactly?
