one of the head officials rocks a V8 bobtail range rover and joined my mob on an offroading mission one weekend

he told us what he did.. we were like "yeah right"

anyway, did a vehicle, as thanks he offered the position on croft corner! now i have track history there i automatically get invited back  :pomppomp:

i'll be manning the entrance gate onto the track itself on the crash wall at the kitty litter... winding up pro photographers  :jumpmove:

Well FoM have confirmed they will be broadcasting in HD in the coming season and other broadcasters have confirmed they'll be using it.... Just waiting on the BBC now confirming it as well - this should make for a much better picture!
Fingers crossed BBC!

Oh and what are peoples thoughts on the commentary changes? DC and Brundle?
Personally i was hoping Crofty would end up in there somewhere - altho i guess that would break the 5Live coverage, but hes really good - just a shame the 5Live broadcast is behind the pictures so you cant listen to one and watch the other

Well coulthard looks like he'll be commentating alongside jordon and jake humpries prior to the race, but then goes to the commentary box.

I actually thing that could still work.  Wouldnt want eddie jordion on his own with jake for the whole thing though.  I like his disagreements with coulthard when you get the team boss Vs Drivers opinions.

I agree Crofty would have been good to join Brundle.

Not sure having 2 pundits is going to work instead of a main commentator and a pundit.  although anything is an improvment on Legard who i swear was watching the race before

....Me too! He has passion, regardless of whether one agrees with him on everything or not. He reminds me of myself at times!

DC is a good foil to EJ and vica-versa. I do hope DC is objective in his race commentary and not mindful of his pay cheques from Red Bull.

I fear having too much of DC if he's now doing both.

EJ can be annoying, but you need him because he doesnt care who he upsets, so he'll ask the questions everyone wants to know, but he needs DC there to knock him back a peg every now and then

Incidentally, I've been looking into getting Silverstone tickets today, for myself, my wife and my 2 year old son. I was looking at the £299 3-day tickets, however, the woman at the ticket office also says that I will have to pay the same for my 2 year old. I kind of told her where to stick it! Think I may think about a trip over to Spa instead.

The new ferrari F150 obvuiously hasnt lost is reliability woes :laugh:

whats going on with the huge aerial/fin above the intake!!



Dont thin Mcl;aren have lifted the covers on their new F1 car.  I know earlier in the week hamilton was testing the new pirelli tyres to collect data, but in their old 2010 F1 with the downforce changed to replicate the 2011 car :confused:
