« on: March 31, 2009, 12:44:50 pm »
Well its not the fastest times but my first ever drag race!! I did however have the fastest of the day...

...for all of about 20 seconds as I was the very first car up the strip that day! :D
but here are my times:
First run of the day:

Win against a VR6 Mk3:

And my fastest:

Any other diesels running that day and times? I've no idea if these are good or not.

Cheers T880MM  :happy2:

Opps, links needed recoding, should be working now!  :ashamed:
Anyway, they were:

First Run:
Reaction = +1.3537
60ft = 2.9127
1/4 ET = 17.0465 @ 86.95mph

Fastest Run:

Reaction = .7721
60ft = 2.4094
1/4 ET = 15.8412 @ 88.36mph

Cars been remapped to 187bhp and 295lb/ft torque. She did have a burst NS shock, don't know if this may have been a factor in the runs, but I was told the mph should've been more (which I found out on Friday when I was going to drop the car on Eibach Sportlines but this is postponed until next Thursday now)

ah so I wasn't far off a good time if you had a flat tyre and I had a burst shock! What is your 170 TDI running power wise?
I managed to get 7 runs in on the day too!! lol

you've done all that stuff to the car and not touched the engine!! that's one of my priorities, got a Superchips Bluefin remap within 2 weeks on mine!!!  :smiley:
Defo go for a replacement panel filter (like Green) only about £40 or so, and a remap. I've got the Superchips Bluefin, but I don't know about others. If you do get one, make sure you get it done on a RR, not just buy a Bluefin from your local Superchips dealer, as the problem I found was that the map wasn't doing what it should, until I took it on a RR, which cost me an extra £70. My Bluefin was only putting my engine up to 163bhp from 155 (which was standard figure with Green Panel filter!) so had to go to Superchips HQ in the end to sort it, not happy as its 4 hour round trip and wouldn't refund me the fuel cost! So maybe give that a miss then!! lol

Just been looking at your build thread, I remember seeing it at Santa, wish I'd got an A3 now with Bose etc etc!!  :happy2:
