Club GTI show and sprint '09 - Saturday 5th September

Linky

Great day of Dubs and grass roots motorsport, I've been a few times now and thoroughly enjoy it - completely different to any other show on the calendar. Where else can you get on track, show your car or see so much for so little money??

Excellent little event that i have attended for the past 7 years or so. In April i got 3rd place in a Mk1 2.0 16v.  :star:

I'll be there this year for spectating purposes only, would have liked to throw the Mk5 around, but id rather someone else have the chance at a trophy. Although i have asked to be put back on the reserve list.

Depends how many Scene points you are aiming for really, as to what you attend. ;)

Curby on the Saturday, short hop over to ED38 for the beer & camping on Saturday night, show on Sunday.

Sounds ideal to me!

There are no spaces left on track. You cant book on the day.

If you are interested you can put your name down on the reserve list. However, its a good spectating event anyway.  :happy2:

Here is the other link for a list of people on track:

I'll be heading for Santa Pod and E38 combo on that Saturday......Why don't these show organisers work things out between them to stop double or even triple clashes like this happening?

Would've liked to have gone to this as I'm a paid member!
Golf R gone.

Shenstone car club only had this date available for us. It was this or nothing sadly as all other dates were filled with their sprint series or other hired out days. E38 is a 2 day show though, and this was taken into consideration when we booked the date. At the time, we didnt consider VW Action, as it does tend to appeal to a different audience (more air cooled). A lot of the guys are heading to E38 after the sprint event.

He's been building an immense polo for 5 years!!!! since the stage 1 polo which was awesome..
Joke amongst the lads....
We've all been into VW for 20+ years

I know, been following it when Chris Eyre posts updates and when Nick chips in on the thread. First saw the car back in 2003 i think, when it was running the original spec. Was absolutely blisteringly quick around Curborough. Been into Dubs since 1997 myself.
