Had a problem!!
« on: December 02, 2008, 02:28:18 pm »
was driving down the heysham bypass last night (8 mile straight road with no traffic lights or cars) and was being a lil spirited, got up to !20mph and a massive loud sound comes from underneath, like the bottom of my engine has fallen out!! pull over and take a look, nothing there, drive off and drives fine??!! WTF!! so i wake up early this morning and take a look and it seems that my undertray had gone missing

so i drive back down the bypass and there it was......in the middle of the road with not 1 mark on it and it must have been there 12hours!!  :rolleye: :rolleye:

thought it was funny, will have to put back on tonight!

i dont think i put it back on propbably when fitting the cooler

haha!unlucky, did you not hear any noise over 80 before it fell off?

in summer 07 toms last car was loosing its undertray. Above 80miles an hour it sounded like there was a sub-machine gun under the car firing all the time! banging between the road and and the car.

this was during road trip in the middle of spain. i think we binned it when we got to portugal. cant quite remember? :S

Sounds like you were lucky to find it undamaged.

Let's hope your new IC is the next thing to fall off...

yea, hurd the machine gun noise, so pulled over, couldnt see anything so carried on, and decided to see if it would go away with speed (i thought there was a bit of rubbish catching in the wheel ) so i planted it to !20 and BANG!!!!  :driver:

bet you left the screws out of the front edge, then the 120 breeze gets in there and pulls it off
