MY MK6 GTI
« on: December 09, 2013, 02:09:16 pm »
After looking for a nice mk6 gti for a good few months , i came across one 200 miles away in suffolk

! In the month ive owned it ive been busy at work so not spent much time on the car , i had scott @ beau technique give it the once over to remove any scratches and swirls
But finally this weekend had all wheels off polished and sealed hubs and discs painted satin black , also any surface rust on suspension parts wire brushed and painted
Then 2 coats of dodo juice rain forest rub and sealed using zaino sealant

Cheers , my cars are always on going !!lol i try not to go mad with the mods , ive already swapped the wheels to mtm bimotos and decided i prefered the monza s so ive kicked the rears out a bit with 5 mm spacers , think ill be having an exhaust after xmas and may be blue fin
Then just the little touches that make it your own
The mk 6 is quite a goos  car out the box , a few - points from the mk 5 i think vw have sorted

Beddie hows the exhaust ?

Still at BCS for the time being sadly mate, one of their suppliers has had a problem with a production machine so they have no stock of the rear bend for mk6 gti / Rocco systems so I've had to postpone till the weekend after next when it should be sorted  :happy2:

Fingers crossed i'll have it on before christmas, but in no mad rush so happy to wait till BCS sort it out  :happy2:

90mm tails look great on the mk6 and i'd agree about the 100mm ones on some exhaust designs as due to the way they exit the valence they seem to stand out too much if that makes sense?
I think the Milltek GT100 tips are spot on though and i did consider the version that BCS supply (Marshall on here had them on his BCS GTD system), but really like the way the twin angled tips align with the rear valance and look like a factory fit job imo
