Unluckily for my boyfriend, I enjoy Top Gear as much as he does so we cuddled up together watching it  :ashamed:

It's not as good as it used to be, that's for sure.. But it still leaves me giggling

Bring back 5th gear..
5th Gear is back on History. I watched Tiff do the Sims Hill trail run in a mk2 Escort.

Anyone watches Top Gear US? I prefer watching them over UK Top Gear at one point. But UK seems to be better this season so far :-)

+1 getting bored with them embarrassing themselves, especially James May hitting the wall.

Yeah wasn't great. Danny bit was good. The stopping distance in a normal car was interesting that followed up on last weeks test.

It may of been interesting but completly useless.
Yes modern cars brakes have got better but cars have got heavier (to be safer?)
More importantly our reaction times haven't changed at all. Anyone can brake quickly from a cone that we can see ahead but in real world situations we don't have the luxury of knowing what's about to surprise us on a road so their theory is floored.
Plus if you travel at 100mph like a lot of people seem to do you stopping distance is effectively double what it would be from 70mph.
It made me think how irresponsible they are.

I think the test worked well in a controlled fashion and did show that braking systems have improved, Sadily in the real world I don't think it would work, too many factors to include into it like tiredness, maintenance of the vehicle, weather conditions and road surfaces.
How hard can it be?
