Fitted my r32 rear lights :) easy peasy 10min job.

Removed all the wheel arch linings and had a good clean out. Then sanded off the rusty wheel hubs and painted them black. Very happy with the result! Thanks to Greeners for suggesting to paint them black ages ago

Thanks. Yeah just did it on the car. Not quite perfect, but just did it carefully and wiped away mistakes as they happened. No special technique, it wasn't too hard. It was Halfords high temperature black paint. I used the satin finish one because that's all they had left, but I am actually very pleased with how it looks.

I need to paint my rear S3 hubs on my GTI and prefer to do it while on the car (no workshop). About how long did the paint take to dry, please?

It quotes about 80-90 mins to be  touch dry and that's roughly how long I left each hub before putting the wheel back on. It says after 16 hours it's fully cured.
