^^^^ Did you use Hammerite and a spade to apply it??   :signLOL:

I was thinking the same lol. What a way to ruin your interior :/
i know it looks sh*t, I got replacement pieces just lying around, need to find time to swap them over haha

I couldn't drive my car with that lol. I'm a nightmare tho. I vinyled mine and there was a tiny bubble after a week so it all came off lol.

Every time I get in the car and see it I get depressed and tell myself I'll swap them round later.. And never do lol. Haha unlucky

Had my Edition30 in at the dealers in Inverness to have the ESP module replaced, then drove the 126 miles up the A9 to the ferry in around an hour 45mins. :innocent:
Remarkably, the road was totally free of Caravans,Camper vans and I got caught behind only one HGV and it was light traffic all the way, which if you've ever driven that route,is very, very rare!
Gurning like a loon all the way, passing the slower vehicles on the wider parts of the road and enjoyed every minute of the twisty stuff further north, totally reminded me of why I love the GTI. :driver:
Every time I drive the A9 I get stuck behind a lorry or some old person going at 40 :frown:

did you paint them in place or off the car???
hand painted or sprayed??
great tidy looking job

I painted them on the car with a 1" paint brush and a tin of Hammerite direct to rust paint mate, hardest part was prepping them and cleaning them up :happy2:

Really happy with the way they have came out  :happy2:

.
Yesterday I had my cambelt kit, water pump, and coolant replaced at 106k miles. Should be done either every 60k miles or every 4 years. 8 glorious years of ownership from new this August! I am still in love with her.

Some smelly badger bits were removed - I had clipped an already dead badger's body in the road a while back. There's stories around my neck of the woods which tell that farmers kill and then dump the badger bodies on the road to look like roadkills - There's certainly plenty of them and Dawsett farmers generally live according to their own rules!

My Front R Brake Retaining Clips were getting really faded so I added some fresh decals.

I had a set of 6 made up by Adam at Uber9 to my exact sizes  :happy2:

2x Front R
2x Rear R (smaller)
2x Spares (1 of each)

If there is any interest in the decals ill post Adam details.

Here's some pics...
