Loud clicking noise from engine

To be honest can see anything wrong with the chain, tensioner or adjustor. So will just change them all and hope for the best. I hope the chain and tensioner will sort your problem.

it sorted my diesel sound :)

What did you replace @k9

they changed the Chain and the tensioner :) much smoother now and no diesel sound

Fair play! Well I'm gonna do cambelt and water pump while I'm there it's mostly off...been to a garage of mine told me all in including labour £500

That sounds much better I'm hoping for same results gettin mine done this Tuesday! Have you noticed any changes in running better etc @dazza

@Carl123 shes running nice actually much quieter at WOT.

So the HPFP tapping is normal. The chainy sound has gone. Will try and take another clip the fan kicked in for some reason.

Ahh looking forward to getting mine done I have a loba hpfp so that's the only I should hear too! Funny you say that I've never heard mine kick in since ownership which is odd and gauge has never gone over half way @dazza

@Carl123 take some before and after sound clips i would be interested to hear the difference. I forgot what gain i added to my mic on the before so it wasn't an accurate test.

Yh I'll take a video this weekend before it goes in this Tuesday! I'll be able to get a proper remap done now as its only running on a blufin @dazza

@dazze the only normal common tapping i know with the TFSI is the injectors  not sure about the HPFP , can be wrong to

Anyone familiar with the chain tensioner there is a gauze is this oil feed/return?
