Yes, it's an OSIR and vented version. Using the unscientific 'palm-of-hand-test', my engine bay definitely feels cooler after a journey and the bonnet is also cooler to the touch.

That's down to the thermal property of Carbon Fibre, I doubt the engine is running any cooler.

....Sure, the carbon's thermal properties will reduce the temperature to the touch when the bonnet is closed.

I agree, the engine itself won't be running any cooler but I think that due to the vent, hot air generated within the closed engine bay will rise and be extracted, hence the ambient engine bay temperature may be cooler - It certainly feels so (unscientifically) when opening the bonnet after a journey compared to when I had an OEM steel bonnet.

thanks, im really loving them now. they were actually quite easy to do once i knew what to do. i think maybe because of the options my car came with, it doesnt have the highline version of the door controller if there is such a thing. not all 32 pins are present in the door controller.

i used pin no 1, and then piggy backed onto the pin no 2 (already had an earth in there)

if you just remove pin 2 and put the new light in there then the door window switch isnt illuminated. (may have caused other problems but i did the piggy back of the new light wire into the earth into pin 2) so everything works.

happy with the results, and me and my brother did the same thing to his car last night, didnt take as long, as we knew what to do. but looking good all the same.

I got a revision G DV fitted today in the hope it would cure my problems. It certainly seems to have done the trick!    The old original '05 DV was well split! The car is driving nicely again, it feels great!  Paid £60 for labour and £38 for the part itself at my local indy. Is that about average for price?

think its ok.

i paid about £45 i think for DV but fitted myself (wilth my bros help) took about 40 mins

actually i prefered it when it was split for the noise i love the turbo sound but prefer the speed
