Mk5/6 security ?
« on: November 18, 2011, 07:10:29 pm »
I saw something on a forum that got me thinking, the poster wrote :-

They're used as getaway cars and stolen because they security is terrible and has been since the mk4 (in and away in 2 minutes - no damage and no noise)

How easy is it to take a mk5 ?, he emailed me how they do it but i dont think its possible, thoughts ?

I don't think so Mike, but the example was a stock car to my understanding, but every little helps

I read the same on that forum too. I've always thought that the MK5/MK6 Platform was up there in terms of security, there is not much on it in the Motoring rags unless I am missing something?

Seriously? I thought an immobiliser made it impossible. Why are there not any more stories about MK5s being stolen?
